Developer Acquired Synagogue Property for Mixed-Use Project

We assisted our client to structure a three-phase development agreement with a Synagogue congregation and a Jewish nonprofit group that operates ritual bath facilities in Brighton, Massachusetts.  The development includes constructing new ritual bath facilities, a new Synagogue building, and a new 70-unit apartment building with an underground garage on a site with shared access and utilities.  Our client coordinated a land swap and reciprocal easement agreement between the owners.  The new 70-unit apartment building will be seven stories and will contain 1 and 2-bedroom units, including 9 affordable units, a roof deck and roof top lounge.
